And regarding valve spring pressure. My first high hp tune was boost heavy. 19psi. But we experienced valve float. So we lowered the psi played with cam timing and threw my ignition timing at it and made the same whp with less boost and no valve float. Octane and timing are key to this engine. Huge psi gets sketchy with stock valve springs. BTW we have a few built motors and lots of parts to build another one for my car. Mine is stock by choice. Because well.....it's still going.

And absolutely; I've seen so many tunes that are not even close to MBT, and yet the tuner insists on increasing boost pressure. We need to chat more about engines; I'd be curious to know which direction you've gone and compare notes with ours. |

This kit along with the rest of the pictures available online are all "Pre-Production" so you have to take that into account when looking at fitment. The tolerances on the production pieces are MUCH better from what I have been told.

Thats with any R&D system. There is always little pre-production parts and fitment you have to deal with. Plus im sure for the price FuzzyFunk paid, the small detail is worth it.

I wonder if they also strip the engine down and break parts to find out the strength of the material used then put it all into a very very expensive engine simulator to work out the long term effects on the engine like a well know formula one engine manufacturer did. And all that before the thousands of hours on engine dyno development running extended WOT runns and 10,000 miles of road and track testing across europe....
