Man, every day in work boots I can sort of understand, but beyond that - how do you guys wear these things out so fast? I'm approaching my third year in this thing and so far my carpets still look good, my steering wheel hasn't peeled apart and my stick shift knob is hasn't fallen apart.

The problem with Weathertechs is that they wear out the heel of your shoes.
I used to drive to work (in school now) and I actually wore out the heel of my leather shoes (probably bad seating position) just from transitioning between brake and gas. |

He called us "merkins". "A merkin is a pubic wig." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkin I also must have the soft touch feet or something as my car is approaching 2.5 years old and the mats still look almost new. I wear running or work shoes most of the time and sometimes bare feet on weekends (when I'm wearing flip flops around town - can't drive in those!). I'm on the road about 7 hours a week. |

oh man, i didnt realize this was a common issue. i just thought my oem mats were defective or shitty or something hahah. mine was starting to show signs of bad wear within a few months. i swapped them out for a set of STI mats (got it for free) that almost fit perfectly (just a tad bit shorter in length compared to my frs mats) and its been over a year now and still look almost new.
