Most e 36 are badly beaten up plus OP is prolly way to busy to do diy.

The Mirage... oh god.
Had one as a rental car for a couple days and did a 2 hour drive with it.
I don't recommend it.

I did 10 minutes of a 20 minute test drive with the daughter in law and could not recommend it for one second. Even as a straight city car it just totally sucked. It speaks volumes that this is now one of Mitsu's flagship car (at least in Canada) and they are pushing the hell out of them while dropping the Eclipse and Evo.

Those are all compact cars. well technically the fit might not be, but it has always been heavy.

The spark is 2269, the yaris is still 2315 so there are lighter ones out there. The rio is a real pig.

So OP, you figure out which car you're gonna get? Out of all these guys that "know about cars" you have a plethora of options.

Definitely no! Given OP is trying to save money I'd vote against this. They're great cars but they are THIRSTY! I miss mine but I definitely do not miss filling her up after driving the FR-S.

You mean he should be pulling his hair out after just more than 6 pages of suggestions and options??? Sheesh!!! There are still lots of cars that can be had for $15K and we have a long way to go!

They did follow up which is why he didn't get treated a troll instead of a guy just asking the most open-ended, subjective question possible.

3rd Gen MR2 is a viable DD imo, zero practicality though...
