2014 BRZ - Turbocharged

Hi

Recently started to look into getting a BRZ and came across this listing where a non-subaru dealer is selling this turbocharged BRZ. Anybody know if this is a factory option that I am not aware of, and if not, which turbokit is this, and how reliable is it?

No factory turbo or even manufacturer approved for that matter.

Can't tell what it is (not my area of expertise anyway) but turbos seem to be as reliable as the quality of their install and tune makes them. It is a crap shoot on one with no knowledge of it's background.

he's messing with you because there's so many people who constantly ask about a factory turbo. don't worry about it.

can't tell from the pic what kit that is, but i would never by a pre-modded car. if my car is going to blow up, i want it to be my fault.

edit: it looks like it's one of the Full Blown kits. Not sure which one. http://fullblownmotorsports.com/shop...its-components

The FBM kits are generally seen as good quality kits if you're looking for big power. Some have had issues with the kits, as is bound to happen. I don't know any more than that.

He's in Texas so it shouldn't be an issue. Still, I wouldn't buy this car without knowing its background.

Texas, bro. All they do is connect to your OBD2. You're allowed to have one "not ready" and still pass.
