The HKS scoop did made a small difference with the factory air box & panel filter, putting an aftermarket panel in would have helped the factory set up.

I may pull the front back off my GT 86 & see about making the HKS scoop work with the Takeda tomorrow.

I am running stock air box with HKS hybrid filter, what I am afraid of is my MAF sensor going bananas at all the extra air flow from the scoop.

Please let me know how it goes and if you decide to sell the scoop let me know I'll buy it

Garage
Over the past week (not really all today)

- Installed TRD rear wing
- Painted center lip of front bumper in rubber paint matte black to match TRD skirts
- Threw on small white Falken decals on rear black portion of TRD skirts
- Ripped apart dashboard to get rid of a rattle
- Installed a black license plate holder to replace the OEM chrome one
- Installed ProjectMU Type HC+ pads front and rear
- Put deposit down on FT86SF/Velox LCA
- Bought a custom set of tow hook bike carrier bars
- Bought another OEM Toyota packing camera to install under the front bumper so when I lower it further I can switch to front camera view and check clearance (avoid destroying bumper) easier.
Pics of most of this here.

Fitted my Ultra Racing strut braces today, after getting them powder coated black.

It was a Bastard to fit the main brace the pick up points on one end weren't right, must have moved when it was welded...

Upgraded springs..

Just finished installing RCE Yellow Springs on stock struts, and Whiteline front endlinks.

I'm satisfied with the results... still a good DD ride, less body roll, and a little more aggressive stance.

Project FRS...

Grill mesh DIY done. All the mounting bases are enhanced by Loctite super glue.
Gonna paint the front frame to matte black today.

It looks much better than factory and better than the picture shows. I will take more high quality pictures after I install the supercharger kit. Also it is more functional. Fitness is better than I thought. I use my foot to push the grill from inside bumper when I tight the zip ties.

I think I am ready for my Vortech intercooler now. This grill will work better than factory one to block bugs and rocks. Since I am a ricer, I love the grill because it makes my future intercooler more obvious. It's a good way to show off.

Gonna drop the car off at EFI Logics this Saturday.

Can't wait.

Finally got it framed. Maybe this will be the catalyst that I need to get my FR-S bay decorated.

Had a three step folding ladder fall from its hanging spot in my garage and ricochet into my right front fender last Friday, and someone dropped a board, it landed on a box and flipped into my left front fender yesterday! What the heck? I think the board dent can be PDR fixed, but I turn the car in a week from Monday for the first one. Paying out of pocket x2 because the board dropper took off. Witnesses told me about it, police know, took a report over the phone, and told me to get it fixed as they likely won't find him. Grrrr! Just had to vent
