Went to auto-x today. Discovered that there is still a higher threshold this car can go. Me as a driver, I suck.
But learned some valuable skills that could be implemented in everyday driving - such as when the car's ass swings out, don't give it more gas and try to power through... Last round though, did the Scandinavian flick every chance I got!

There's no extra month. It's a five month pattern that permutates over several years. Of course, if it's 109 degrees in January, we're probably in big trouble.

One day I will learn to not have such a huge lunch in which all I want to do afterward is nap. The US really needs to get on board with the afternoon siesta.

Meanwhile, here's a life hack: 1. Be important enough to have your own office. 2. Have a sign on office door saying "Conference call, do not disturb". 3. Be very scary so people respect #2. 4.

Oh, right. Anyways, when you're in that sweet spot of middle management where nobody notices you;
as long as you show up on time, your shirts are clean and your subordinates are both profitable and quiet, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Take naps, spend your day on internet forums, watch porn, practice lucid daydreaming, write a novel... Whatever you want. As long as it's quiet and most importantly: Don't ever tell anyone about it. |

It is going to be a novelization of the forum I call it "Is Not. Is So" Here is the opening: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."
