Who gets to drive their FRS for work use?

I drive my FRS very consistently because my job demands it. I'm probably behind the wheel about 15-20 hours out of a 40 hour work week. Pretty crazy given the fact that my FRS was just a weekend car for for a good year. I love being able to drive it all the time now but I dislike how the miles are accumulating so quickly.

I'll probably be looking for a beater soon to prevent the milage from increasing on my FRS. I was curious to see how many other people get to enjoy driving their FRS as an every day commuter vehicle?

You are getting compensated by the company right?

I rarely use it for work use, but when I do.... mileage compensation! Works out pretty good if your company pays well per mile traveled

I mean, I daily it in the summer to work and back, but I don't call that "work use"

I daily my FRS and sometimes drive it for work. My company compensates me like 0.55 cents per mile.

I was a field tech for a couple months and was racking up at least 1k every week. I was being compensated 45 cents per km which was a very nice chunk of change but hurt my soul seeing the kms skyrocketing.

I bought this car specifically to drive for work. I was driving my Cherokee up until the head cracked. I wanted to replace it with something that was reasonably comfortable, reasonably cheap to operate and not boring. The BRZ fit my needs perfectly. I drive enough miles that I could finance the vehicle and let the mileage allowance pay for it.

I drove it just over 30,000 miles last year. I've had a job change this year that cut down on the miles a bit, so I'm only at 42K after 20 months of ownership. It's picking back up, though. My coworkers think I'm nuts because if a job is less than seven hours away, I prefer to drive than fly.

Meanwhile the Cherokee is still around, now with a 4.6L stroker in it, so I have backup if necessary. The BRZ seems to be wearing well, though.

And especially this^

If you are not getting mileage paid then it would just plain suck. I make enough in mileage alone that it pays all my costs and the car is fully paid for in 2 years without touching my salary. Drive it , maintain it and let those miles pile up. It is money in the bank and in 4 years I get a brand new car and start all over again.
