I'm sure it will be. Should be at least as expensive as the blue series.

If this thing costs as much as the Series.blue did, I would not be able to justify buying it... sure, the interior is more modest and looks great, and maybe some people like the hyperblue color; but it lacks the lipkit and wheels. that's ~2.5k+ option that comes with Series.blue, but does not for hyperblue. Where is the justification in price?

The WRX STI Launch Edition was $1100 cheaper than the WRX STI Limited, and also the XV Crosstrek Sunrise Yellow Edition was based on the XV Crosstrek Premium, also below the Limited trim.

What made the Series.Blue more expensive was the aero kit complete with the underbody covers & the STI wheels. Those items alone are at least $3500 if you were to order them separately at retail cost.

Thus, the special edition doesn't necessarily have to be the most expensive trim line. I'm just really confused because the press images showed the head unit didn't have Navigation so I'm thinking they either phased it out entirely or that only the Limited model will have it standard (as it is on the STI). Another possibility is adding it as an option but because they are produced in such little quantities I doubt that.

Which I guess means they have been allocated zero.
They did say they are speaking with the "regional subaru person" to try and get one allocated, but if that process is already done, I think I'm SOL as they won't steal one from another dealer.

I think it's time to start approaching other dealers.
I found out how many my dealership was getting in the 2nd week of July. I also checked how many were allocated in my 100-mile radius. You should try asking Heuberger since you're in Colorado. None of their cars are preordered.

Heuberger has one California-spec car. Unfortunately I can't check if they have any others.

Thanks for all the insight!
Do you know if Heuberger was the only Colorado dealer with allocation?
I know Colorado doesn't see many BRZ's to begin with.
The guy I'm working with in Boulder is a friend and have purchased from him before, but if it's a lost cause waiting to hear if they can get one, I need to jump and make a deposit with someone who knows they have it coming.

I can only look up dealerships with California-Spec cars. Interestingly, a couple of Colorado dealerships are getting a California-Spec car.

These are the dealerships, they each have 1 allocation for a California-Spec Series.HyperBlue:

Heuberger Motors
Shortline Subaru
Garcia Subaru East
Mike Shaw Subaru
Groove Subaru
Garcia Subaru North

California-spec?!? Really... I thought that doesn't exist for this platform. When I registered my out of state AZ bought series.Blue the DOT said all the BRZs are 50 state "California-spec" cars. That's why it was so "easy" to register there. Especially considering more than 13 additional states are CARB (now require new cars to be "California-spec.")

CARB States
MY 2004 California, Maine, Massachusetts, New York^, Oregon^, Vermont
MY 2005 Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island
MY 2008 Oregon, Pennsylvania*
MY 2009 Washington*
MY2011 Maryland
MY 2014 Delaware*

Ex-CARB States
MY 2005 to MY 2009 New Hampshire
MY 2011 to MY 2012 New Mexico
MY 2011 only Arizona
