^^^this. I'm considering a vented hood strictly for function. I want to keep it as low key as possible.

Lol not sure why some are getting butthurt I'm going to close off the vents as to prevent dirt/rain getting in and I'm painting the carbon fibre hood just not the vents

hmmmm..........DVNARC, I'd suggest you replace it with an OEM hood and paint it the color of your car.

THEN, if you desire, wrap the hood with wanna-be carbon fiber and "stick" on some vents.

That way, when you see how it looks, you can always peel all of that stuff off........ if, you want to ......

My hood is getting replaced with the stock by the insurance but if I want I can pay the difference and get an aftermarket hood. If I get this hood I'll close off the vents and paint the hood leaving the vents carbon...

If you're going to make them non-functional anyway, you might as well save yourself some money and just get the OEM hood and some of the stick-on vents from WalMart.

Pretty sure no one here is "butthurt". Most here like to poke fun.

If I recall correctly, the stock hood is almost as light as cf hoods. But it's your car, do whatever the hell you want to do.

I seem to recall the CF hoods have a lot of weight variances from production run to production run. Some CF hoods are heavier and some are the same and some are JUST lighter than the stock hood.

Word of advice in the future. When you ask for others suggestions, you're basically asking for their opinion so keep that in mind. Not everyone is flaming or butthurt.

But if you dressed your horse up to the point of being silly (oversized blinders, upscale brand, braided mane and tail, etc) they would all call you an "oater".
