I disagree that the dealer adding are always a rip off. Although they certainly can be they can also be a great bargaining chip when dealing with Pure Price. There is also the added bonus (to those of us that are concerned about such things) of not voiding warranty. And some such as the TRD springs and exhaust are far from "junk"

Area customer surveys, sales records and marketing research all would be used to determine what will be promoted in any given area.

I sometimes wish that I asked for a free TRD exhaust during my negotiations.
I cleaned up by bargaining add ons into my deal. They were all things that I would have bought later anyway so I was happy to add the little extra I paid for what I got to my loan.

I look occasionally. I've seen prices ranging from 500-800. Pretty steep for an oversized noisemaker. If I find one for the right price I will jump on it, but I'm happy with my JDM exhaust tips for now.

One of the issues is that Southeast Toyota (which covers amongst other areas Florida and Georgia) is a completely separate entity from the rest of the US. There are historical reasons for that, but the net result is there are often subtle and not so subtle differences between what you can get in that territory vs. the rest of the country.

This link explains why there is a difference.

Huh, that makes sense. Also might be an explanation for them offering a lifetime warranty I was asking about a little bit ago. Thanks!

If they had any brains at all (corporate, not Tada and crew) they would have something like a COPO program. People would spend money like mad.
