Regular 2016 BRZ?

I got my '16 STI almost 2 months ago. If they aren't already sitting on dealer lots, I'm sure they will be very soon.

I'll shamefully admit that I'm on Subaru's website every couple days, toying around with the payment calculator and seeing how much my monthly payment would differ if I add the chrome trim or take away the cargo mat. So I'll probably know within a day of when you can build it online. I'll quote you here to let you know

no it is a total mystery. Dealerships are waiting to see what the price of the hyperblue is going to be, and have no idea about anything for the 2016's.

I think because they release 2015 model too early at 2014 (end of June) and that impacted 2014 stock sale greatly. So they learned their lesson and trying to release as late as they could. A 2016 model has updated stereo, back up camera, and starlink onboard computer...it is definitely an improvement and fancier.

Yea, but then why on earth is every other Subaru 2016 actually on lots? That is what really makes no sense to me.

Starlink sucks. I have it in my WRX.

I'm a salesperson for Subaru and I can confirm there is no information on the 2016s. However, the Series.HyperBlue have already been allocated to each dealership.

In other words, each dealership should already know how many they're getting--they can see it on their dealer network. The allocation is currently set at October. This means that each Series.HyperBlue will already account for 1 unit for that October. Interestingly, the Series.HyperBlue are so far the only 2016 BRZ models that were available for allocation.

You can expect a large volume dealership to have an allocation of up to 5 of these cars. Most dealerships will probably get 2 or 3, and those in the East Coast will probably only get 1 or none because of how low the regular BRZ sales are over there.

With this in mind, we can expect all the 2016s (standard & Series.HyperBlue) to have an October allocation. Subaru said they'd announce pricing during the Fall, so I think somewhere the on the last week of September or first week of October they'd make the official pricing release. If that's the case, the cars won't probably arrive until the end of October/beginning of November.

Finally, the pricing of the 2016 BRZ & 2016 BRZ Series.HyperBlue should be pretty easy to gauge. They're dropping the standard Navigation so the base price of the BRZ is likely to decrease (to push sales) and Navigation would probably be an option. All of the additional features of the Series.HyperBlue aren't even expensive premium materials. I would guess they'd charge a surcharge for the HyperBlue paint and it will show up on the monroney sticker as an extra $500-$750.

If the BRZ Limited comes standard with Navigation we'd probably see a lineup like this:

BRZ 2.0 Premium
BRZ 2.0 Series.HyperBlue
BRZ 2.0 Limited

^ Thanks for the info.
I've been trying to place a deposit for the Hyper Blue BRZ at my local dealer, but they can't confirm whether or not they are getting one.
Which I guess means they have been allocated zero.
They did say they are speaking with the "regional subaru person" to try and get one allocated, but if that process is already done, I think I'm SOL as they won't steal one from another dealer.

I think it's time to start approaching other dealers.

Is there any idea of how many will be made total? I would have thought that the hyperblue would be more expensive than a limited since it uses a different interior.
