I purchased this and should have it installed next month. Mine is a 100% street car. I thought this system looks better than the stock and sounds better too. I am not expecting a hp/tq gain. I do expect a sound and visual enhancement upgrade.

I got this installed a few days ago. I like what he said from 1:20-2:17.

In my opinion it sounds better then I expected. I was afraid of it not being loud enough. It is loud enough for me. I am quite happy with it. To me it seems louder from idle to around4-5000rpms. It is definitely louder during cold start ups. I am glad TRD made this kit. I would recommend this for some drivers, like street mannered, legality, street oriented type of builds..

According to the ear dyno I probably got at least 25 hp and 20ftlbs.
My butt dyno would say less than 5 hp peak

Another cool part is we get to hear what the car sounds like on the race track. We get to hear acceleration and downshifting. And, Ken Gushi drives this. Well I hope this is enjoyable. For me the intake is a bit pricey (at least for now) however, I will be adding the TRD air filter at my 30k scheduled maintenance.
Anyone know which spoiler that is on the red car?

I think it's the Scion OEM spoiler.

I am about to remove mine too. With the rest of the exhaust stock it sounded beautiful and not loud. I have now installed a catless EL header, high flow cat front pipe and bigger overpipe.

Oh my, cold starts are unbearable and it drones like crazy on the highway. About to put the stock muffler back.

Sucks because I got this one knowing it was one of the quietest setups for the rest of the parts I wanted to put in, but still it is too loud for me. I don't know how people pair catless stuff with N1 catbacks. Must be insane to be inside those cars.

Cold starts with a catless header are going to be loud unless you edit it out in the tune....

Yeah, I already have an EcuTek tune with 'reduced' cold start. I am going to get a dyno tune soon and will ask to completely take out if possible. My main concern is really the drone in the car. I'll need to see with the stock catback how much is really related to the TRD vs having to try a different Front Pipe.

The TRD exhaust drones right where people cruise on the frwy 3000 - 3700 RPM. Some people have fixed this with other exhausts by having a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator welded in after the TRD resonator in the mid-pipe. See this thread.

Thank you! I am seriously looking into this option. Today I was able to get the car past 5K RPMs constantly and the cabin suddenly goes dead quiet. It was such a contrast that it felt as if the engine had shut down. Love it that way.

Been getting a lot of compliments lately on my exhaust. Most are very surprised at the setup. I'm not a massive fan of the UEL sound, but I was given the header for testing, and have actually grown to enjoy the noise, and power.

Openflash header v3 (includes overpipe) Stock front Pipe, TRD Catback Exhaust.

Sounds great on the track. Throaty. Also, your video setup recorded much cleaner sound with fewer clacking/rattling than most vids I've seen posted. What camera and camera mount do you use?

Thanks!

Supirisingly, it's a GoPro Hero 3 with a $20 GoPro mic adapter and a $12 3ft mic off of eBay. The microphone is taped about 5 inches from the exhaust tip.
