This is a great thread, similar to other journal builds but with track oriented twist. Excellent keep it up, wish i had more time to participate in track events but i don't know how the turbo's going to like it. Proceed.

Thanks,if not for an extended track use I think it should be fine as long as you monitor your temps and change your fluids routinely, and keep your sessions short ..I would check with the tuner and ask to see if the tune is suitable for track use also in most cases, tuners provide couple maps, one for track use (conservative) and another for the street

Thanks I always do emphazise my short but intended track use with the car, we have the tuner in common and I know he's constantly pushing with safety in mind. Thanks for the the advice, waiting on oil cooler to give it a go.

I used to live in FL and owned turbo cars, so I know how hot it could get there
I have a friend who also owns a BRZ and goes to Sebring every once in a while

Its horrible lately man the temps aren't are bad as the humidity itself. Its about 85F but about 60+ humidity, i could really feel the car's performance being impacted, specially idling and taking off. Going wrap the charge pipe along where the maf sits to try and help a bit. Keep posting pics

I've also posted this on Subaru BRZ's facebook page and wanted to share here too

my BRZ w/ @KraftWerks SC next to my friend's NC3 Miata also w/ Kraftwerks (Supercharger kit has been recently installed), both cars are built for track use with similar mods and tuned by @moto-mike from Moto-East . ..throttle response on the MX-5 was really good and a bit smoother than the BRZ -as we thought it would be, most likely due to advantage of a smaller C30-84 Rotrex unit (vs C30-94 in the BRZ kit), or Miata engine's flatter torque advantage in the mid range (where we have a dip) or maybe combination of both factors
I wonder what kind of numbers the Miata will put down on the dyno and how those will translate to lap times this season

hood vents and the removable clear tray on the Miata also looks also really good and makes sense for combating the heat at the track ,

I've noticed that I haven't updated this thread for a long time, new track video has been added to the first post and new parts have been received

I've posted why I gave up on using the OEM header on my car on this thread:

Berk Catted Front Pipe

Porterfield accidentally sent ST43s for rears but soon received the correct part (ST45 for the rear)

HKS EL header that is currently waiting to be coated, wrapped and be tucked into the reflective shield that came with the header, if those don't help me increasing the flow and insulating I don't know what to do

It was so hard to get the Cosworth Thermostat and it became out of stock as soon as I ordered, weird

yes, I won't be selling the car anytime soon since financially it doesn't make any sense to sell it lower than what I asked for
