Rapid prototype for sure. if you look a few of the pictures it actually looks like it goes straight in.

The IC core

Agreed. At first glance of the pictures I'm disappointed, but everything else looks "On Point" and modern colloquialism puts it. It seems comparing Cosworth, Harrop and Edelbrock, one has quad cooling, the next 2 W2A units and Edelbrock the one unit. I hoped that the single unit was about the same total size as the Harrop's two units, but it doesn't appear so. Ah well, as above, we will see what comes out in the wash. But, I do so want something with enough headroom to be able to justify built engine in several years.

Cheers,

Budo

Generally a cat-back won't require re-tuning at all

The Edelbrock core is designed for minimum airflow restriction. You have to balance airflow with temperature drop. On the other hand, the Edelbrock heat exchanger is far, FAR larger than the Cosworth unit. It is nearly the size of the OEM radiator!

I have no doubt the Edelbrock will have a far more sustainable output.

It only doesn't go straight in on the stick intake manifold.

Do you guys plan on testing and carrying this product too, similar to the JRSC?

Right, that's a whole new intake.

You can see the intake and tube in this picture a lot better

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/...ers/fa20.shtml

Looks like the same air "input" location (without the stock snorkel) to a larger filter? Which is then straight into the intake

You're absolutely right Mike. I just wanted to add that the E-Force kit utilizes .75" id intercooler hoses, whereas others are using .625" or smaller. Additionally, the waterpump flows double the amount at 8gpm v.s the older Bosch unit at 4gpm.

Based on images I have seen online, both Harrop and Cosworth are using Bosch pumps.

Lastly, fin density on both the charge-air-cooler and front heat-exchanger is key. It may be too early to find this info, but Edelbrock usually posts the performance specs of each in BTU's/hr. Basically, you can't tell how something will perform based on size alone.

agree about the BTU statement, I'd be surprised if they release that information thou

I remember the cosworth statement was the coolers were good for about 35Kw of heat rejection which they equated to about 400Bhp

also the cosworth hoses are 0.75" not 0.625"

and have you got any details about this 8 GPM pump? I'm always on the lookout for better pumps..
