Had my dad in the car on saturday night and the roads were pretty empty so naturally I had to drive aggressively. We were coming up to the road where we needed to take a 90 degree right turn. I warned him ahead of time that since we could clearly see and there were no cars I was going to take the corner hard. We took it at 45-50 and right after he tells me "i'm glad your car doesn't have the 'oh shit' handle or i would have ripped it right out of the ceiling, but damn did that stay planted on the ground during the turn"

I would have loved to have kicked the back end out more but I'm still working on my technique before really trying to mess with my passengers. It was funny to see him appreciate the FR-S as he has always been someone who loves muscle cars and big HP numbers.

Have I mentioned enough times that I love this car?

Hah yeah, but my program placement started last week for me, so I wasn't going to work anyway.

It's ok. You're in good company. Find a great big deserted lot and practice.

Sounds boring but if you haven't ever tested the limits of a vehicle, a great first step is to start driving in a giant circle and slowly increase your speed. See what happens when, right as it starts squealing, you suddenly let go of the throttle.

You might be surprised by the result.

That's it, I'm going to beg my dad to come for a drive this weekend. There's a road I take 1st time passengers on that has a 180 degree hairpin turn.

Oh, I know. It's a dangerous thing to know. I'm close to being able to get out of my parent's house now, though. It's a choice. A very tough one.
