Well looks like it is time to stop eating and drinking. To save money for this SC and other supporting performance parts.

Tempting, isn't it?
You can download the tune from their website

But... Why!? I can't figure it out. Maybe it's the name brand? I'm a sucker for it. I've never known much about cars or any mods or brands. I've only started learning stuff since I got the FR-S. But even before then I knew Edelbrock. That's the only thing I can think of to explain it.

You won't need to buy a new license, but you will need to buy another tune. Whatever aftermarket tune you get won't be CARB legal, but neither will the header.

Theres no reason to retune after an exhaust (cat-back/axle-back). The cost would outweigh the benefits tremendously.

I noticed on their "test" BRZ they ended up putting a Borla cat-back on it after the testing was finished. I wonder if they would share that tune with SC purchasers? I think the Borla sounds pretty good and if I could get the tune it would make this SC even a better deal!

fyi, the passenger headlight was only removed for the fender installation. They did not have to be removed for the intercooler lines.

that's just too much work

I thought that as well...

Most likely just individual testing of the intake as an isolated unit. They would have to get a separate EO for just that intake if they decided to sell it.

This is quite a pretty setup. It's nice to see more PD superchargers on the market!

Judging from the image you quoted, the intake housing appears to be rapid prototyped (you can see the "grain" showing the printing direction if you look closely). I would guess this was more for fitting purposes, or as bertio mentioned, an individual test unit.
