Just did the first oil change, I was going to have the dealer do it but I might as just get it done. I used the Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0-20 and the mobil 1 filter and wow is the engine ever quieter in the valvetrain. I wonder if the Toyota oil is just crap or not weighted correctly but it's a noticeable difference in valve train noise reduction. I may just do the oil changes myself.

Changed up the usual rebadge. Instead of using the oval Toyota T I went with a larger old spelled out emblem I found in a u pull it junk yard. I cleaned it and got color matched paint with clear. I also just finished painting the "GT86 emblem with an airbrush and the clear after that. I got rid of the chrome and I am liking the minimalistic look.

Anyways, you really don't see the badges unless you are up close. I like it!

Not liking your blue on blue rebadge, no contrast, hard to see, camo effect. But if you like it that's what counts.

TEQ is not Toyota in Katakana.

the T you see is ト which is "to"
the E you see is ヨ which is "yo"
Q (I don't even see a Q) you see is タ which is "ta"

just a fyi before others think TEQ is toyota in japanese.

Yeh I agree in the pics it gets lost but in person it is quite cleat to see since I put a high gloss clear on it. Any suggestion on contrast color. I don't want red...lol

TEQ is not Toyota in Japanese. But since the shape of the Japanese letters look like TEQ and the lack of Japanese lettering for NJ license plates. This is the closest representation to the Japanese lettering available in English.

Keep it! It'll keep people who don't know about the Twins guessing until they go up close. If you are going for that kind of thing anyway.

Went for a spin in the car (literally) I activated Pedal Dance for the first time. All I have to say is;

Swapped OEM tranny and diff oil with MOTUL Synthetic. Easy and noticeable difference!

Just took a vid driving on a twisty road on my way home from the 86EXPO, the mic didn't record my best session of heel-toe and downshift rev matching. Next time then :P
