FWIW Pete's Cozzy really has some low end punch and really held it own again a turbo car with almost 100 more WHP. That linear, instant torque and boost really impressive. That and the turbo drive sucked... :P

What other bolt on's did you have? Just the Cosworth SC or complete Cosworth stage 1? Or something else? Cosworth states +80hp with Cosworth stage 1 & 2 and +60hp with just the Cosworth stage 2?

I believe he's running the full exhaust plus the SC so technically stage 2.3.

76WHP is pretty good considering it wasnt even a completely stock car vs a stage 2.3

My only real beef with the cossy exhuast is that it is feckin loud. Shame they dont offer a midpipe with an extra resonator/silencer to calm it down a bit.

Im interested in the MAP sensor Cosworth selected for this charger. Its hard to tell from the photos, is this the part number: 0 281 002 437? Is this MAP the same size and fitment as the OEM 5psi unit? It also looks like a 4pin connector (I'm assuming for integrated IAT) vs. the stock 3pin. Was there a jumper pigtail harness that came with the kit to connect the new MAP to the old harness?

I ask because I was asked to source this sensor for my EFR turbo build because the Bosch unit is higher quality.

Thanks! Awesome build by the way.

agreed
with the edelbrock and harrop kits about to land
Cosworth need to respond
thing is if they're sticking to the statement that the base engine isn't comfortable past 280Bhp and needs a set of rods for more boost then they're going to be left behind by the more boost merchants

thing is, are they right to stick to this 280Bhp level on the stock engine?

or should they just release a small pulley for this kit and let the chips fall where they may?

It's Cosworth, I doubt they would do such a thing. But I am getting antsy for their stage 3 kit. It could be a multitude of things. I'd rather not speculate and just know already! haha

Perhaps Cosworth should explain why and how they have concluded the rods cant handle more than 280hp. It would show the quality of their R&D abilites and inspire confidence.

Cosworth could do a 310hp (+30hp) pulley kit but not recommended for heavy track use....

I wouldnt be surprised if the stage 2, 280hp was limited a bit to allow for a bit more step up in power for the stage 3.....

I think its time we saw the full 350+ HP stage 3 kit.

I remember seeing somewhere that the Stage 3 would top out at 380hp, but would sit around 320hp. I think that would be a sweet spot for this car!

The clutch will need an upgrade for anything more than 280HP i'd say.

What do you mean sit around 320hp but top out at 380hp? do you mean different 3.x stages?
