OK Bud, in your (already deleted) thread you responded to my comment that you were appearing more troll like by each post by saying you were just 17 and didn't know. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt but...
You now seem to have a very strong opinion and extensive "knowledge" that is way out of whack with reality.

This sort of response puts you squarely back in the troll category.

You wouldn't happen to work at a place where the boss gives you cars would you?

I don't get why everyone's hating on him for recommending the 370z, all his points are valid.

OP the NISMO is slower than the Sport. It's true, look at the 370z forums. I admittedly love Z's. I've had them, loved them, and look forward to the next one. With that said, I absolutely love my BRZ. It is everything I wanted my old Z to be.

BUT, a very slightly used (as in less than 20k miles) 370z sport will have all the options of the nismo, without the tacky aero and be about 22-26k. It will be faster in every measurable aspect than a twin. Even a FI one. You have to go to high boost levels to match the speed (note I did not say HP) of a stock 370z with factory warranty.

With that said, I did not care for the 370z I drove, which is why I ended up with a brz. It felt heavier and number than the brz, and I couldn't get over how it didn't feel anything like my old Z, where I felt the 86 twins had the same "spirit" as the old Z's.

just be sure to get the car you really connect with most and would be happy driving for years. The blue is dead sexy on the 16's btw

Can't speak for the rest but I am not hating on him for the 370z. The 370z is indeed a great car and was on my short list at one time until like you I actually drove one. Let me say, speed ain't everything folks.
If you saw his last thread (deleted by some Mod in record time) it was Mustangs and I am sure if somebody brings something else up it will be that. The guy is a troll plain and simple and unless some further evidence is presented that counters what I have seen so far I will stand by that opinion.

The 370z is actually less track ready than an FR-S. A few guys I track with have 370z's (one Nismo and one sport). Oil temps are even higher than an FR-S, and will easily go above 300 F. Brake pads (even on the Nismo version) will fade significantly at the track. The viscous LSD will wear out fast if you track it hard. And all 370z's have major fuel starvation issues so you have to keep the tank full all the time.

It's definitely faster though.

this is true. I'll add to this and say that my first autocross was about a month ago and I put down times identical to a guy in a 370z that had been there numerous times (track layout always changes). My car was on the terrible stock tires, and 86's fully prepped (suspension/wheel/tire) were putting times down like 5-8 whole seconds faster than me, which is huge.

Oh in no way am I bashing the Z as I was a huge Nissan fanatic. I just have no interest in buying a Z anymore. I didn't love the car like I wanted to. As for everyone else, thanks for the information and I'm hoping to get the FRS this weekend. *excited*

(not quoting anyone because my tapatalk is crashing like a mofo so I'm using the web browser from my phone.)

I felt the same way. I really wanted to love the Z, but it just did nothing for me. The 86's ticked all the right boxes post pics of whatever you decide to go for!

Because... If you're going to spend the same amount of money anyway.

1. The 370Z is ugly by comparison.
2. Built not Bought.

My favorite mod on your Si! Welcome. Have you thought about looking into a used Monogram or 10 Series? Does it have to be new?

Haha! After about a year of going back and forth with Honda, I finally gave up on getting a recall for the clear coat even though both of my other friends had clear coat failure. I haven't actually thought about those. I'd prefer new just based on 2 things
1) I bought my si used @ 50k miles and for the first 50k or so it was fine and then shit started breaking left and right.
2) I've never owned a new car, something I know no one has ran in the ground. Not saying that every sports car owner has dogged their car out but I think you get what I mean.

It doesn't have to be new but I would like to buy something brand new off the lot at least once.
