How does saturday, August 15th sound to everybody? I'm working on getting a location set up. I'm not sure on a time, but it might take a bit with 9 cars there. I can bring 2-3 heat guns.

I'll be in Monterey for the Historics races that weekend...
not looking to roof wrap my car, but if people want to lend me scraps of vinyl I may try to re-do my infamous racing stripes in vinyl instead of dip...

I'm busy that saturday too.
If we do another day, I'll bring my heat gun for all to use.

Well. First we need to figure out the vinyls and who wants which color/type. It will be cheaper in the long run to buy it as a bigger roll than a small roll per person. We can just cut the pieces from the bigger roll.
Also what time are we looking at for the 15th? |

Someone should take charge of this and try and get a group buy.

So here's what I have so far-
I spoke with Neil @The Racers Line and he has graciously volunteered his shop in Santa Rita as our meeting place. I understand this is quite a drive for some folks so I spoke to @finch1750 and @PMok and they have agreed to make this an official Norcal 86 Drive. The 15th is a date I just threw out there as a siguestion. More than likely the meeting time will be in the morning. Likely 8am. If enough people are interested in the 15th, we can meet in valejo and caravan there. If anybody has any better siguestions please let me know. (After all, I did throw this together in 24 hrs)

Hey guys, @nyrip and I have been chatting. I have offered my current shop as the space on the 15th(or even 16th if Sundays are easier), but have now thought of another possibility.
One of my sponsors is a vinyl shop up here in Santa Rosa, called Epic Images. I know it is a bit far, but there are two options. I'm going to talk to the owner tomorrow and see if he is interested in a group buy. He has a parking lot and shop big enough to house everyone, and could hang out and help. Of course, it would be much easier to purchase vinyl from him, and he has many many colors and tools as well. Option 2, would have to wait slightly longer, but I am close to hopefully closing the deal on a new shop down in Concord. The space will most likely, still be quite empty when we would like to do it, but there is tons of parking and indoor space to have everyone's cars. I'm hoping to get word this week, and I would acquire the shop Sep. 1st. Fingers are very crossed. Anyways, feel free to keep throwing out options, I just figured I'd throw another out there, as I would love to learn to vinyl wrap, and my roof would look good black! |

I'm down for option 1. I know that with the 15th as the date, some people won't be able to come, but that will more than likely be the case no matter what date we meet.
Personally, I'd rather do it at a place where I know that if I messed my vinyl up, I could get another piece right there. And it could be a good final farewell to the old @The Racers Line shop. Plus a nice drive back down the 1 doesn't hurt either.
