Ok here's the opinion.

Q: Do you track or autocross your FR-S or BRZ?

If the answer is no then the stock tires are fine.

If the answer is no, but I intend to FI or stance the car, then the stock tires are fine.

If the answer is no but I do spirited driving then the stock tires are fine.

If the answer is no but I like to street race or drift then the stock tires are fine.

If the answer is yes, I do autocross and/or track, then yes buy some summer tires for your FR-S or BRZ.
