Yesterday this guy in a late 90's model Porsche chased me down to compliment my car. He was raving about the color and my wheels. We spoke a little a red light and as we accelerated he started taking a video as we were driving! Probably one of the most interesting reactions I've gotten so far.

How is that weird? It's a car... Plus, I suspect most women that might give the car attention know just what happens if they show interest...

I got the car 'cause I like driving... while the comments are fun, it's nothing to a good stretch of windy pavement.

Older gentleman in a Range Rover politely asked me to roll my window down and asked "is that the new Subaru? looks great!" I was a bit confused since I have a '15 and in my head the car's been out for 3 years lol but it's nice when it stands out to people.

Meh most people buy these cars to show off and attract attention. These cars are never driven to it's fullest potential. You can own a gtr, amg, bentley etc and not get any attention from females what so ever lol since it's not as flashy compared a lambo etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm not downplaying females or anything! Just wanted to state out that we as human have a tendency to show off to others. I get more looks from guys, mainly older folks . It's just that most people expect attention from girls. Haha

Wrong colour. I get attention from women of all ages. I get comments from women every single day. Most are "oh what a beautiful colour" though so it really doesn't matter what the car actually is.

big time car collectors show no interests. The regular people do say it looks cool. I think I have one of the few stock looking BRZ in town lol.

Nope. I have no issue confessing I am an attention whore and love the stares and comments.

from my observation typical girls love Lambos. The more sophisticated rich girls love Ferrari. The dudes love Porsches and Subarus...

P.S. I'm not trying to get male attention owning Porsche and Subaru

Seriously? Maybe I got the wrong car, or got the car for the wrong reason. Oh well. Still a blast to drive. Maybe it's an age thing?

Eh everyone is an attention whore nowaday. Well it's not really an age thing, the concept of spending $100k on a car when you can just spend $10k on a vehicle that can get you to point a and b. It's human ego, don't kid oneself since we all have it. There are some that buys it just for the entertainment .

Are you my older brother with a different skin color?

Males or females, it doesn't matter who makes the comments. As long as I see a smile on their faces, I'm a happy camper.

Funny observation after 2 months of ownership. Whenever I putter around in lower end neighborhoods, I get some attention from females but that's it. When I putter around higher end neighborhoods, I get stares from some dudes but lots of females. They are usually walking down the street or driving some luxury vehicle.

For some reason, I get reactions from Ferrari's. Just last night a 458 and I exchanged fly by's which was pretty awesome since I love the way those Ferrari's purr.

Also from last night, a Scion tC tried racing me and it was a less fun experience... It reminded me of the scene from Sex Drive where the Mitsubishi tried enticing the Chevelle to race haha.
