Surprisingly enough that's a better angle than I've got...and I had to fab up a spacer on mine. Do you have a link to the camera?

Plus my $.02 on running the wire, I fed a screwdriver through the accordion-rubber-thing to help straighten it out and compress it and then pulled the wiring through as I pulled the screwdriver out. It wasn't that difficult.
