GPS works great with Google maps or Waze. Sometimes the GPS can take a little while to initialize after a cold boot.

As for the shipping, I just looked at it as the price being $100 more nad the shipping free. Other companies have a lesser shipping charge but ship it regular mail (takes weeks to months) from China. With the DHL express it only took 3 days to my door from China.

@Cockatoo ; thanks.

Obligatory "waiting on taxes" comment. Perhaps this will be a present to myself. It'll be interesting to see how this compares to the Ca-Fi unit as people get more time with it. It is a little less expensive and if physical buttons aren't a 'must have' for you, then this looks like a great option

Just had my NU3001 delivered. I'm getting ready to setup the wiring harness. Is there a schematic posted for the BRZ Fujitsu 10 HU?

This will give you everything you need.....
http://www.beatsonicusa.com/stereo/s...ersal/bh1.html

Also, check out the updated MCU (firmware) and new custom ROM called xdAuto... gives tons of new features and fixes.

I can now change the standby time of the unit now. I have it set to 24 hrs and the unit is basically always ready to go when I start the car.

Can you use the factory mic or those do you need to have a separate external mic?

Not sure about all the units, but most of them have an internal mic. Using the OEM mic means cutting and splicing wires.

It has an internal mic, but if you wanted decent functionality it would be better to get a usb mic.

What kind of usb mics work or would you recommend? I have an aftermarket unit and the internal mic is horrible!

As far as I can tell you cant use the oem mic... but that is expected for most aftermarket solutions.
