This is a common problem for people who work on their cars a lot. The stock wheel studs are crap.
Changed my wheels over a hundred times now (probably up near 200 by now), never had an issue. Same goes for many of my friends who autocross and go to the track.

I've never even used a power tool on mine. Always a breaker bar and torqued by hand to 89 ft lbs. I've stripped at least 3 wheel studs now.

Well there must be a reason you're destroying them while others have no issues whatsoever. Maybe you got a bad batch?

I run exclusively aftermarket wheels without hub centric rings on really bumpy roads with relatively stiff suspension. Add in all the autocross and track days on sticky tires and it makes me wonder why others have issues with their studs.

There is a tool called a "nut splitter".
I saw one at my local Auto parts store last time I was in there.

IF you can get one on the nut, you just tighten it down and it splits the nut in two.
Problem is that you might NOT be able to get it on far enough.
