Shit. I didn't think about that.
Or driving off a cliff. Got off a 12 hour overnight shift so it didn't help matters.

It's also educational.

Also, every time it rains it's like everyone forgets how to drive.
You live in Oregon, you idiots. How is this an issue?
It's the same down there too? I thought Seattle drivers were bad in the rain.

Oh, no. You guys have NOTHING on the drivers here in Texas when it rains. No one knows what to do, so no one slows down from their usual speeding 20-30 mph over the speed limit, no one reduces the quickness of their turns or lane changes, they all tailgate still, etc. The wreck count is truly impressive.

Having grown up in Florida, I find this behavior terrifying.

Soulreapersteve, don't push the twin hard in the rain. It doesn't react well and there are no good tires for the rain that also have any decent traction on dry pavement. The Pilot Super Sport is a good compromise, IMO.

lol I wasn't trying to push it! :P I was driving as normal in the rain (slower than usual) and the tail still slid out. Even this morning after getting off, one little turn at 15mph still caused the wheels to spin...

I would, but I'm all the way across the country

Hope she finds her way into a new home soon.

Think I may need tires that'll grip in the rain. Or learn how to operate a RWD car properly in non-dry conditions...

I'm rocking a set of PSS's and they handle fantastically in both wet and dry. Had them on when I did an autocross when it was pouring rain, everything in my body was telling me to slow the fuck down, but I kept putting faster and faster times with the tires barely losing adhesion and easily controllable.

Had the home inspection done on Saturday. All things are a go, minus a couple spots of dry-rot on the back deck. Also went out to the shop, fired up the air compressor and lift, was happy to find it all operates perfectly! I'm starting to get more and more antsy to finalize everything and get the keys to the new castle!

Very jealous of a lift in your own garage.

I'm just here, in my apartment complex, crying that I can't do mods at home.

I would actually be completely fine with living in a ratty tent if it meant I could have a dope shop. The agent was yelling at me to at least look at the house to see if I liked it first when we pulled up, because I was already running for the shop.

Lift is life

Final closing is scheduled for middle of August. Assuming I get the keys around then I should be moved in by the end of August. After which all of you 86ers are welcome! Bring your cars, parts, beer, and we'll make it happen!

...Looks like it's time for me to start aggressively building my tool collection.

I've been shopping for a tool chest for my garage at my parents' place. You're in for a surprise. Be ready to want bigger and better. Hah.
