Can anyone tell me if my TRD complete lip kit puts me out of STX? Or the rest of my mods for the matter? Classes would go from CS>STX>CSP?

I know that my current club is fairly relaxed, but If I were intending to participate in some National events, It would be helpful to know if it's legal or not.

Ill just throw my mod list up. Been classing myself as STX at local events, but so long as im not too far off, I dont think they care too much. (ie. not trying to hide a supercharger, etc)

Exterior:
- "TRD" front lip
- "TRD" side skirts
- "TRD" rear lip
- "TRD" rear spoiler

Wheels/Suspension/Drivetrain:
- 17x8.5 CE28 +44
- 235/40/17 DZII
- Endless SS-Y Front Pads
- Endless SS-Y Rear Pads
- Goodridge Front Stainless Brake Lines
- StopTech Rear Stainless Brake Lines
- Tein Type Flex Coilovers w/ built-in camber plates
- Whiteline Gearbox Bushing Insert
- Forced Fab Transmission Stiffener (T-Bolt for Whiteline Insert)
- Whiteline Support Outrigger Inserts (Rear differential mount inserts)
- Whiteline Positive Traction Kit (Rear subframe inserts)

Engine/Exhaust:
- Sound tube delete
- Custom Quad-Exit Muffler Delete

Planned mods:
- Replacement steering rack bushings. (Either Turn In Concepts Derlin bushing, Whiteline, or if those aren't legal, then maybe the perrin steering rack lockers.
- Exhaust mods (This should be legal for the most part)
- Big GT wing! lol. Seriously, I really like the Voltex Type 1S. What class would that put me in??
- Engine management + tune (Probably ecutek, but I believe this is legal in STX)

Cheers

The wing would put you into SM automatically.

Not quite sure about the TRD lip kit but someone here will answer that.

My suggestion (again, if you haven't autocrossed much) is to go to an SCCA Starting Line school. You'll get fantastic novice instruction and lots of seat time. Then go to as many events as you can and ask for help. Doing a school and 3 local events will be $400 out of your pocket and will shave 3-4 second minimum off your run times if you're new. Going from Rivals to Rival S's if you're new probably won't shave you any time at all because mistakes will be costing you more than the tires are gaining you. Just my $.02. And can't wait to see you in STX coming up!
Thanks! I'm not really wanting to mod my car much right now but I do want new wheels to put me in STX, I have 9.5's right now and don't want to go in SP or SM. So if i get new wheels I might as well get some good tires to go with them. Was just asking about other things I've already done to find out if I can keep it like it is or if I need to change it.
I've really been thinking about going to a school, I just need to find one close by.

If you're just starting out some 17x9 and 1st generation rivals are just fine to learn on. If STX is your goal ultimately no hurt in getting some 17x9s now.

I had pretty much this exact same thing happen to me my first several events, except I think it was an '05.

Happened to me too at the last regional event I attended. Guy with a stock '00 Corolla running in the HS class ran over 2 seconds faster raw time than me.

I need to git gud.

Just an FYI, if anyone is looking to do an STX build, I have some parts available for sale soon, all used for just one month and 1k miles. Hopefully this can get someone here started on a build for cheaper.

Magnaflow Exhaust $600
KW V3s $1,500
Strano FSB $50

Doesn't that front bar rub something when you're lowered?

I didn't have any issues when it was lowered, that was using whiteline end links. I did however have issues when I put the stock suspension back on it.

Same here. No issues when lowered with shorter end links.

Some of the strano bars were too narrow at the bends and contacted the frame if you were really low. With adjustable links you could avoid this.
