Today's SCCA autocross was a lot of fun! Challenging course that pushes you to look ahead and drive faster.

Don't forget this Sunday is the Equipe Rapide autocross at Mineral Wells. It should be a super fum course with great weather!

I just finished installing and bedding some new front brake pads, the old ones were cooked from the track day.

Half of the out side front pads turned pink like brick, explains the poor braking at the last event.

Anyone going to the ER/PCA event at Lone Star Park this Sunday? I'll be there in my FRS. I was going to go to the Saturday NTAXS event too, but it filled up too fast. Ended up signing up for the waitlist, then making other plans for Saturday, only to get an email today that there's some space open... Sadly I won't be going but, the Sunday event looks awesome too!

dfwautocross.com has a calender of pretty much all the events in the area. Just follow the links to the event organizers website for the details.

The easiest ones to join will be either SCCA or Equipe Rapide. Both follow SCCA Classing rules. Tell us what you have on the car and we can tell you your class. Rules in general are on each organization sites.

SCCA on the Left where it says Event #5 has a link to register and a link to view the list of people already registered. Next Event is 8/9/15. Price is $45 or 50 for non SCCA members

Equipe Rapide on the right under next event is the links for this weekends event. I don't see the registration link at this time but I know they will continue taking online reg until I think midnight tonight. Link to reg site Non-member is $40 and to become a member is $20 and it brings the prices to $35 and event.

Right now. JRSC. 18" wheels and catback exhaust. Oil cooler, injectors, fuel pump and flex fuel are in boxes. I really just want the opportunity to drive and get more miles. I'm not as concerned about competing. I did my first Cresson event 2 weeks ago and am scheduled for another in Sept.

NTAXS and BMWCCA are classed based on engine displacement, so since you added FI you will be in class 2 and Y respectively. Equipe Rapide and SCCA both use the SCCA classes which would put you into SM (street modified). You won't be competitive there but you get the same runs, so it shouldn't be an issue as long as you know that coming in.

SM allows for a ton of modifications and is a very fast class; however, locally almost no one runs in it so you could win the class!
