Clear bra xpel ultimate

im looking into this and was curious if anyone can ballpark what to expect to pay. We don't have too many dealers/installers in my area so I have no idea what would be considered average. Obviously willing to pay for a better install but an average price would help me start somewhere.

Thx!

I had this installed a year or 2 ago, ~$700 - Akron, Ohio area. absolutely recommend, as long as its a good installer...this was my second clearbra,.. the first installer Sucked... did not use xpel. also cut into my paint in several spots for trimming,... this made me angry...... yellowed in one year. xpel still looks great and hard to find imperfections or peeling anywhere after all this time.

I paid about 1,500 if I am recalling correctly (EDIT: My mask was half hood, full front, half fenders, door edges, and rear trunk loading area). I will say that it works well, and the anti-swirl ability of it is really good (I was told that once it's in the sun it sort of 'self-heals' and reduces swirls).

Since this is something that I feel strongly about, I will also say that I regret getting it because it really is not a perfect solution to rock chips and the like. I'm considering taking it off, since it's lifting in areas and trapping black dirt in a bunch of the corners. Oh, and you can see rock chips under the mask that happened after the mask was installed (I had it installed right after driving it off the lot). Granted, it's on a DD that saw a lot of highway miles, but if I had known that it would end up the way it is now, I wouldn't have put a clear mask on.

I'm within a reasonable distance to Akron were you happy with the installer? If so mind sharing the name?

This was the gentlemen that installed mine, he was recommended to me by other Subaru enthusiasts in the area. he stands by his work with a warantee and will correct any peeling that occurs, for some time after the install..(dont recall how long that is...)

I also posted about my experience with him on our local Facebook subie club (NEOSOC),.. and several people chimed in with similar experiences, saying he was the only one allowed to touch their car based on experience.

I got 1/3 of the hood, bumper, front fender area and side mirrors.

it does more good than harm, yes if you hit something hard enough it will still damage the paint,... but it would have been worse without it...

Did my whole are with the 3M branded stuff. Cost about $4000 but no regrets here!! Car still looks brand new after 2 winters and on the 3rd summer. The 3M stuff does get swirl marks and I can hide them with a nice hand waxing, but you can never get them to go away with the 3M brand (cant polish plastic).

I did it so when the car is 5,10,15 years or however old I want to wait it will have factory new paint. I do know there are 2 thicknesses and I opted for the thicker one (although the guy said it was a pain to work with vs the thin stuff). No paint chips under it at all. I also had the hood edge and fender edged wraped around.

Would I do it again.... YES!

I paid $1500 for a the xpel full front + 3m nano tint all around.

I think the Xpel alone was around the $700 area.

I paid $1200 for the full hood, front fenders, bumper. Wrap-around edges. Great quality. Installed by a detailer in Central Jersey. I can PM you info if you don't mind driving, but I cannot guarantee the prices are the same (got mine ~2 years ago)

I think I got a pretty good deal. It was from a guy that's newer, but did a pretty decent job (has a couple minor imperfect spots if you look really hard, but I can live with it). He did it for $700 for partial hood and fenders plus all the areas directly behind all the wheels.
