What year and month was your car built? Sorry to learn the tranny needs to be replaced after only 33k miles.

2013, how do I find the month it was built?
Honestly I'm just happy that toyota is covering the issue under warranty.

You can check the tag in the driver's door jamb. It will include vin, grvw, etc. The month of manufacturing is on the tag.

Just got it back today and shes running better than ever. Shifts SUPER smooth, no more trouble getting into gears and no grinding noises. They also changed one of the bushings that cracked so the shift knob feels nice and tight getting into gears.

I asked them if they heard of any other cases of bad trannys but they said mine was the first.

Okay so the car is still making the initial noises I brought it in for. I am no longer having trouble getting into gear so that seems to be fixed. But I am also hearing a lot of chatter when down shifting. Does anyone else get this? I hear the chatter especially when down shifting into second.

I get the chatter because of my flywheel. Are you all stock?
