p.s. I just searched and found a blue brz limited with the color matched trim piece as well. Now I'm confused. what car comes with chrome?
Every BRZ has it paint matched. The chrome piece is just something you tape on over the painted part. Some like it, some don't

Chrome (or brushed aluminum) vinyl wrapping this would take 5 minutes a side and cost next to nothing. It would look just as "good" and be durable.

It's not hard, just start pulling it and use something for leverage. Take your time and use goo gone if you don't want it to stick back on if you release any pressure.

Be careful using leverage against the fender, it dents easy. Afterwards I noticed a tiny dent that only I would be able to point out.. but still.

Probably get a flat head screw driver with a microfiber between the fender.. wedge in, grip as far down as possible, and pull away, don't lever. Start at the tips.

The chrome is noticeably larger than the painted piece under it.. so don't worry too hard about how far in you can put your wedge.
