Honestly that dash looks cool but I would hate the glare.

As for myself I would really like a CF hood, roof, and trunk but they would need to have the fitment near or the same as OEM. I'm aware good quality CF cost a lot but I think that's my only option. I hate bad fitting CF parts. I'm kinda hoping ASM makes parts for the 86 because their CF parts are honestly the highest quality stuff i've seen coming from an aftermarket brand, but they cost an arm and leg

If the OEM hood/trunk is really aluminum then I would only go roof.

I opened the hood of a frs yesterday and it was heavier than I thought it would be. I can almost guarantee you guys that a carbon fiber hood will be lighter.

I think the hood is perfect the way it is. It is already very light, if on a budget that same money could be directed to a trunk or dash paneling, which looks awesome. In all honesty, you want to be very careful to not upset the weight distribution of this car. After all it has been very carefully engineered to be as it is.

The interior dash panels on the FR-S are not designed to look like CF, they are paying tribute to the AE86 's front grille which had a very similar design in it.

As far as other parts are concerned, in the BMW world, CF air boxes are really big. It saves weight, looks awesome, and it keeps the intake charge cool... big shiny pipes with a filter on the end make a cool noise and look cool, but get heat soaked worse then the stock intake ever could. (unless you are running a turbo/super with an intercooler.)

Carbon Fiber intake box with a high performance air filter and a Samco boot is a winning combo =]

Yeah thats a key thing... even known brands have fitment issues, regardless of the actual quality of the carbon fiber it is made of. On top of the price of the part it is always safe to assume it will cost more money for proper fit and finish at a quality body shop... most of the time cheap/unknown brands of CF body parts end up costing double their original price in shop labor to get them to fit...and it never looks perfect. Go with a quality product for this car its worth it, even if it means waiting!

How much weight savings will you see with CF hood, trunk, doors? Seems like it'd be easier (and cheaper) to just add more power instead of trying to trim the weight. Frankly, I'd pull the carpets and insulation before I started in with carbon fiber body parts...

...and I've got a lot of cars with a lot of carbon fiber. Just doesn't seem to fit here.

Roof? Where can you get the roof and how would you install it? Is it just a cover?

I wrapped the interior parts in carbon fiber vinyl. It is as close to the real thing as it gets.
