It is, but you're losing a resonator/cat... Noise will be crazy loud on an aftermarket header. It's fine with the stock header.

Yea that part I knew. I do plan on UEL header (Rev works/ JDL) so I'm still debating how i will set everything up.

You could pull off a catless front pipe with a catless header but you need a heavily muffled catback like the Perrin resonated or Q300. Otherwise, you're going to get some rasp most likely. This is where it gets tricky. If you go light in one place of the exhaust, you have to muffle another section unless you just wanting it sounding like crap.

invidia makes 3 front pipes. catless non resonated is the cheapest but that will be way too loud with any aftermarket header(for me at least). catless resonated is about 80 dollars more and catted is about 200 more than that. since the catless resonated has about the same performance gains(if not better) than the catted and ill have a cat in my headers ill save the 200 and use it for a front pipe.

I went with the catted front pipe in case they ever bring the sniffer to my area. Had to have one cat somewhere and I chose the front pipe instead of the header.

Well see this is what i was thinking too....along with maybe a resonated mid-pipe.....or.....catless Header and FP with Resonated CBE. Not sure which would produce a "good sound/ tone."

Does anybody know who else makes a catted AND resonated front pipe besides nameless? I really like there product but the price is high, and I don't think invidia does both

The price is high because it includes the overpipe section too. When it comes down to pricing out an overpipe and front pipe together, it's not that expensive. Invidia does a regular resonator, not a Helmholtz. There's a big difference in those two. Nameless only does a resonated 3" downpipe that's catted. The 2.5" only has the Helmholtz option.

I got the catless resonated pipe, however I'm getting an exhaust leak between front and mid pipe. Do they make a gasket I can order for this?
