Much better seats but ya the rest is the same. I found them ok but the pure number of tech items would have a bit of a learning curve.

If that's the case, idc bout em then. Seat ain't gonna help improve the drive feeling enough to justify quality of drive

The driving dynamics are completely different. So I am told. The interior is exactly the same in the base ST as SE trim with the sport/appearance but the Recaro seats are not an option for the base Focus. Ford Ergonomics are terrible though. Which is why I didn't buy one. That and the better suspension is only on the mid-range SE if you buy an optional package that MSRPs for $2500. Plus finding one with the 5spd in dark blue is extremely difficult to do. At that point it was a steady progression to go from SE with sport package to ST then to a BRZ premium. Which I couldn't afford at the time. But at least they make good rental cars.

BTW, the Focus is Euro Ford built in Mexico, making it nothing like the American made trash Fords. And yes, Focus enthusiasts do consider their cars to be "Euro."

Driving dynamic can be changed w suspension & engine mods. How seating position & how un-ergonomic for the driver that makes me hate this car. Whole interior isn't meant for driver. Everything is far away from the driver. Steering wheel doesn't get closer or lower. Too much button around. Guages are hard to see. B pillar is so much in the way... But I must say, I do like the hatch. I've always liked hatch and this Focus did well on that part. For comfort driving and almost no blind spot, with flexfuel to be able to put E85 or shitty gas, it's not a bad car. Would I ever own one? Nope, I rather own Camry or other car.

Today I gave my friends a ride in my FRS and I was asked "do you like this car?" I was like "well, it's got a lot of space, which is good" (I said this with a passenger sitting in the rear seat...).

Hard to remember that most people don't drive 2 seaters -_- MR2 habits die hard.

So today's PNW meet was fun! Got to see how 100+ people made these cars their own.

I think I spotted @Ultramaroon (tall, older gentleman in an Ultramarine FRS along with, I presume, Ms. Ultramaroon) but was too timid to approach.

Plus, I tend to weird people out with cases of mistaken identity. I'll say hi next time!

Dude, you want to try going to a meet and looking for the "I'll be the young Asian guy driving the modded white FRS" some time.

Where the hell were you soulreapersteve?! I was looking for the slowpoke onesie but I didn't spot it. Shout out to Yotamansteve for his kickass custom drunk build. Shout out to RobertPaulson for standing right next to me with me none the wiser (this is why we need stickers). Also Ultramaroon it was great meeting you! You definitely live up to your avatar, because you are one chipper motherfucker, respect. Additionally, I'm going to have to dig up that clutch thread, because that was just the perfect mod.

edit: also, I don't remember what his username is, but loved the VIS CF trunk man, I'm going to have to pick one of those up.

Apparently Steve was huddled up in a little ball of shyness someplace!
The rest of you are just jerks for getting to meet each other.

Seattle area was interesting. Enjoyed the seafood, but didn't like the morning traffic... but lets face it, it doesn't matter which state you live in, morning traffic sucks.
