So is it confirmed this won't fit an RS 1.0? I asked on the FB page, but never saw a response before the whole thing was deleted.

Yep. I straightened it out the best I could. I'll notice but I doubt anyone else will.

I won't be surprised if more of those show up like that. The packaging is pretty worthless. Zero protection for those fins.

Wow. How was it shipped? Do you have a pic on how it was packaged?

It has good packaging top and bottom so it doesn't move, but I think the fins need more protection. They were just against the single layer box, which is why they were bent. And the front brackets were hanging out of the box too. Maybe I just got lucky.

Either way I'd suggest something else on those fins. Ill be shocked if I'm the only one that gets a bent one.

I would ask for some kind of compensation. That is pretty ridiculous.

Before this spirals out of control... please remember that both Velox and FT86 SpeedFactory stand behind the product. Shipping issues occur with large companies as well as small. We will work on fixing this issue going forward and will resolve the current ones if a customer would like. We aren't in the business of making enemies so please refrain from thinking you won't be taken care of.

I doubt FT86 SpeedFactory has even seen this as it's the weekend. I apologize for responding so late but I'm out of town again.

Again, please be patient with us as we learn the new quirks of shipping a brand new product, you will be taken care of. If you're in a rush and want to fix it yourself, the aluminum is very pliable and can be straightened with your hands or some wood blocks.

I apologize this has happened but we cannot foresee everything. Thank you for your patience.

Eric

Oh if I came off as saying it's bad product or anything negative against you guys, I'm not. I should have been more clear I guess.

It was more of a warning to others and a heads up to you guys. Check the box before the ups guy leaves (I don't even know if that would help). Also to improve the packaging.

I haven't contacted anyone on it. At first, while I was a little disappointed, it was more of a joke. I don't expect any compensation or anything. I bent it back and it's really close. Like I said I'm probably the only one that will ever notice.

I will say one thing...I've had other diffusers in the past so was expecting an easy go bending it back. Nope. This thing is well built. It took wood and some hammering to get it straight.

On a positive note...it looks awesome and fits great. Took about 20 minutes to install. Five of that was trying to figure out what the CAD drawing was for - I'd suggest popping on to ft86 speed factory for the very nice instructions. Otherwise you'll wonder what the hell the piece of paper is for.

This isn't the best picture but it looks good!
