Busted Sun Visor mount

This morning just before my drive to work, the plastic piece that holds the sun visor to the roof cracked in half. this meant the visor would no longer go flat against the roof. Luckily I was at home still and got a screwdriver to remove the whole visor.

That sucked as the sun was in my eyes on the drive!

I see part numbers on the back of the plastic piece, but a google search doesn't turn up anything.

Any idea if I can get just the plastic base part and not the whole damned expensive visor?

I broke the tabs off one of mine, when I sound deadened the roof, and if I remember it correctly it was something like $5 to replace from the parts department at my dealership.

I found another thread on this after more searching (didn't see it the first time as it was under Cosmetic Modification).

I just ordered a whole new visor for $30. Oh well.

It seems this has happened to a few folks and usually when removing sun shields.

Well, unfortunately the one I ordered was listed incorrectly and was a passenger's side.

Fortunately, 541 Motorsport had great customer service! They called me and sent an ebay message about it, and promptly refunded me as soon as I talked to them on the phone and confirmed it was wrong. Also said to check next week if I don't find another by then as they get more in frequently.
