Yes you are. Things like this are becoming more of a story because of social media and places like Reddit.

The trick is... to let them rip and immediately point out the fat guy. They can try to deny it, but everyone will assume it is truth.

Here in Australia there has been a very large government (over different federal governments) program to get people to quit smoking. Graphic images on cigarette packages, very high prices, no advertising allowed. I suspect some number crunches told the government of the day it would be cheaper for people to quit smoking and lose the tax income than for people to smoke but impact the health sysrtem. I agree with this sentiment.
BUT I think it hypocritcal to allow fast food chains to continue, have the massive alcohol industry to continue, make some drugs illegal but others legal. It would not be politically or economically feasible to try to reduce the numbert of fast food chains or tax acoholic beverages exhorbantly. I just think it weird that some vices are ok but others are not.

I usually look for the bro drinking his muscle milk that has no intention of working out.

Like seriously, why do people drink that shit if they aren't going to be working out at all?

We have a similar policy on smoking here. And sadly, since my blown supercharger and car off the road 7 weeks and counting I started smoking a pack a day after stopping for 8 years
Our booze is also exorbitantly taxed and only sold thru provincial owned retailers. Thats not a problem for me, I average 3 or 4 tall cans of beer per week. I'm going to go on the patch.

My hobby seems to still be alive in Australia, , pinball machines. I have ordered parts from there before as an Aussie entrepreneur bought up containers of spare parts from the US left over from Bally Williams closing in the US in the late 90's. Pinball is NOT a vice, except when kids spent their lunch money on it when I was a kid

It does affect everyone in direct and indirect ways. So many you could just go on and on.

Insurance premiums
Healthcare costs
Increased taxes
Transportation - increased seat sizes on public transport resulting in increased costs, larger-heavier-more expensive vehicles
Food - fast food selling larger and larger sizes/portions due to demand (this of course is a circular problem, larger sizes makes people more obese but in turn those obese people expect even more).
Increased government regulations in efforts to try and curb the obesity problem.

I mean what I listed does not even begin to touch on all the ways obesity is affecting society.
The rapid growth in the obesity rate will just continue to compound and exacerbate these issues.

I actually have a difficult time finding the correct fitting pants because a size 32 waist is not considered normal anymore. 36 - 38 is considered normal and 34 is considered small.
I have more luck finding 32 waist when the length is 30 or less and/or in the young mens department. Sometimes trying to find a 32w 34l is impossible and I have practically given up on a 32w 36l.
Ridiculous

EDIT: For the record I am not on board with publicly shaming obese people but I do think it is a very real problem and should not be considered socially acceptable.

can I "identify" as an obese person? is that the PC term or am I offending myself?

@tennisfreak I actually recently read a piece regarding this in the fashion industry. IIRC it stated something like the average waist size in the US as of 2015 is 38-40, however, the top selling pant size is 34. So either people don't shop as much anymore of they're in denial!

Ugh, I'm a 33x31, but have 'athletic' legs, so usually have to wear 34x31.

I can find 34x29, 34x30, 34x32, 34x33 with ease. Where's the GD 34x31!? Did all the pants makers decide to just skip that length???
