I'm actually talking to Clazzio USA, who makes leather seat cover overlay that are exact fit to make them for the FRS. That would make life easier with dogs. I have a French Bull, English Bull, and a Yorkie that collectively shed like cotton candy machine! Even if I don't take my dogs, I'm always bringing dog fur one way or another, into the car.

I wish they'd hurry and get them produced and tested!! The Clazzio covers are the BEST and makes seats look factory leather, without the hassle of actually getting them re-upholstered.

This one is for a Dodge, but they do similar work for many cars.

Awe you have a frenchy too. I have a French bulldog and a Boston terrier. I will let them ride after they've been walked a dozen times around the block lol I don't need any accidents.

If my labs go in the at it will be in the back. I don't want them going through the windshield if we get into an accident.

I wouldn't let a person I don't like ride without a seatbelt in the front. Why would I let my dog?

Yeah, Ace has a seatbelt harness for when he rides up in the front but he looks rather uncomfortable when he's wearing it. Do you have any suggestions for a harness for the front seat?

Thanks, Moto. Definitely let me know when you hear something from Clazzio. Those seats look great!

That sounds like an awesome mix! Got a picture?

I don't really like harnesses. The straps and hardware for the ones I've seen look like they could break under strain. My dogs go in the back seat if they go in a car, and that's only for short rides. Anything further than a few miles is in a crate in the mini van. It's actually the whole reason we bought a minivan.

I would keep the dogs in the back seat for their safety. God forbid you get in an accident, the airbags are not intended for Canines, and might do more harm than good even with a harness on them.

That being said, my Dog can ride in the Tundra or the Sienna. My FR-S is for people only

I bought an old truck for the dogs, planning ahead for my FR-S. Those little hairs are impossible to vacuum out. It's not just the seats, but the back of the front seats and the ceiling. Then they scratch doors, dash, and other parts when they climb in and out. One gets carsick as well.

In the truck, I debate about the passenger airbag, better for the dogs to have it on or off?

i dont think the seat fabric are dog friendly, let alone the space. Still, nothing a big towel can fix.

Off. Airbags are designed for human bodies in a normal, belted seating position.
