Picked up my silver (Argento) FR-S 6MT Today

Just picked up my FR-S today from Findlay. Awesome car!!. Just got done messing with the radio and setting up the tach sweep when you start the engine. Bluetooth phone and ipod work effortlessly. Radio is okay for a stock one although I would have preferred one with sat nav and a reverse cam. The car drives great. Can't wait to reach over 1000 miles so I can finally open up the throttle. Gonna post up pictures later.

Congrats man!

I know what you mean! It's so tempting to go over 4k and unleash the beast (lol) but I gotta control myself and make sure this break in goes smoothly.

Thanks Jayp. Congrats on getting you FR-S too. What color did you get? How many miles did you put on it to date? I've been trying to see how many of us have their FR-S in Vegas. Here's my list so far. Lostthebeat, S1monn, tuxedocartman, Koji_Online, Jayp, and myself FR-S teve702.

So there are six of us, any others? May be a few out there not part of this forum. Anyways, congrats to you again and enjoy the ride....

Mines Raven, Batmobile status lol. It's an AT though, I think the first AT in Vegas, yea yea lol. I got it when it had 8 miles, but it's around 50 now. Gonna drive it a lot more over the weekend when I'm not so busy.

Planning on changing the headlights in a few days and also putting on some tints.

Anyone considering a Clearbra for their car? And if so, where are you going to do it? I kind of want to but I'm not too sure if its worth the cost.

I'm considering doing just the full front bumper and headlights. Mike at Eco Tint does it but right now they don't have the template for the computer to cut the film precisely. Mike quoted me $400.00 for this package which I think is pretty good. I personally thing it's worth it because if you don't have it done it will look like the whole front bumber got sand blasted. Mike had several inquiries from other FR-S and/or BRZ owners as well and told me he is trying to get the templates asap. I wish they were open on weekends but they are only open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. Contact Mike at Eco tint and see what he can do for you. They also do tints for the windows and lights as well.

On your headlights, are you changing the whole headlamp units or just the bulbs in the projectors?

Does the $400 include installation? If so, I'll be getting it from him. Wasn't there a group buy going on with the tints?

I'll contact Mike this afternoon and see what he can offer.

If I can find a good HID kit, I'll definitely be going that route. Otherwise, I might try Skoodges route and just replace the stock ones with some Sylvania Silverstar H11's and see how that goes. I don't expect those H11's to last long though. In regards to the housing, I'm going to wait until they get a bit cheaper to buy.

Just spotted a whiteout FR-S 6sp manual at Nellis AFB this morning. I pre ordered one over 6 months ago and this is the first time I've seen one in person--finally! I would have driven to CA to see one and it just happened to be sitting 50 yards from my desk.

What a beautiful car!

My first impressions.
-it looks really small, the back seat is almost non existent
-the wheels are much better looking than I expected, super nice wheel/ tire setup for looks anyway
-the roof looks more aggressive in person
-the back end of the car is perfect, my BRZ limited spoiler is going straight to the rubbish bin
