Track Day E-85 Consumption
For you guys running E-85, how many gallons do you go through for a typical track day, say 6 sessions, 20 minutes each?

We live about 40 minutes from the track. My girlfriend topped off before we headed out. She did not drive very hard. But she had about 1/4 before leaving the track.

Take your regular gas mileage and plan for half that with booze.

Depending on the track, I go through about 1/4 to 1/3 tank of E85 per 20-min session. My car is FI though.

5 gal per session is a bit of an overestimate especially if NA, so should be good planned target

Note: with E85, you run the risk of fuel starvation if you go below 1/2 tank on the track.

I will be going Turbo and E-85 flex fuel kit the end of the month. Just trying to plan on how much E-85 I need to bring to the track.
Thanks all for your help. |
