If not raining on Wednesday this week, @Slick was going to see if we could roll in together at Rideau Carleton Slots for the car show.

Also just a couple reminders:

Fitted Ottawa Car show Saturday Jul 11 noon-5pm
Rockcliffe Airport
I've entered my FRS this time

Merrickville Car Show Sunday Jul 12
Muscle cars and hit rods and plain old cars
Cool venue if you're into the older cars

1morelap.ca lapping night at CMP sponsored in part by @Slick
Sat July 11

And if anyone is interested, I'm heading to Carlisle PA Friday July 17 for the Perfirmance & Style Show
I still have a couple motel rooms reserved
There is at least a doz other ft86club members registered and we qualified for a huge tent/canopy in a prime high visibility location on the fairgrounds.
PM me for more details if you wish to join us. I drive back Sunday getting home about 10-11pm

Ken

Rideau Carleton this Wednesday Evening

Hi Guys,
We're set for attending the Cruise Night at Rideau Carleton Raceway (RCR) on Wednesday evening, they will save us some spots for us to park together. Weather looks to be great.

This is an early evening event, so we need to be there early so they can still hold some spots for us.

For those of you not familiar with this event, there is a great variety of cars. Many classics, modern cars and perhaps even some supercars (Lambo Aventador and Aston Martin a few weeks ago). Should be fun to check out the rides. Entry is free and there are even some product raffles at end of the evening.

Schedule:
Meet at Moxies Hunt Club and Riverside (same location as last year).

We will leave at 6:15pm sharp, any late arrivals can just meet up with us at RCR.

I will also post on Facebook but will need to know who plans to show so that I can give them a number of spots to save for us.

Chime in and let me know if you'll be coming out for a few hours.

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum, and noticed you have an event this weekend in Calabogie. So I apologize in advance that we have a event the same day but for any of you who would be interested in bringing your cars down to Brockville (on July 11th for 2pm); 1000 Islands Toyota Scion is celebrating the arrival of Scion to our dealership with a live outdoor concert on our lot. Tons of Prizes --- featuring some of Brockville Local Music, and more to come.

Details available at and I'd love to meet some of you:

Any questions don't hesitate to ask, depending on how the planning goes this week I will try and Join you at RCR with a new Scion

Happy Touring,
Andrew

I decided to see what kind of fuel economy I would get driving near speed limit to Montreal (103-108km/h). Just some heavy acceleration getting onto the highway. This was the read out after the 2 hour drive. There's probably a margin of error at play but that's 41 US MPG.

Nicely done. 5.7 is about half of what I get in city driving!

New Shoes and Tails

Kicked off the green shoes and put some new ones on. Wrapped the tails and finally had it lowered

Sounds good to me -- gotta help increase the Firestorm representation!
