PKEASE HELP

Hi Guys, ( I also postd this in the general BRZ forum as im freaking out )

I had a supercharger fitted and picked the car up yesterday, 2 hours into driving the car the check engine light came on with the traction control light so i pulled over and turned the car of and on the traction light with off but the checky engine stayed on, the car was ticking over perfectly.

I dissconnected the battery and reconnected after 2 minites or so and all was clear so i started the driving again as i needed to catch a boat home. 350-400 miles later on my drive it happened and i did the same disconnected the battery, when home i couldnt read any codes due to reseting the ECU, i also cany get a hold of the company/ tuner of the install.

What could this be? what would you do ? Please help Guys

Thank you.

Without codes no one knows. I wouldn't worry too much if it reset and the car runs fine other than the CEL.

If you got a CEL and the car is still working fine, that's because you probably can't damage it by driving.

If the ECU see a potential damage, it will turn down the power or revs and make the CEL flash.

If you got a simple CEL, you can drive to the shop to have the car check.

SWAG (again) you lost a coil pack, Ignition throws a code, and disables your traction control.

Stop at a Auto Parts store, borrow their OBD reader and read the code.

A OBD dongle and something like Carista should be a must-have for a FI car. Somebody here a while ago was getting CEL's and ignored them. Don't recall if his insurance paid out for the total or not.

I bet you anything you have a P0451 code for the evap. Sounds like the same exact condition I had a while back after I got a tune. If that's the case, you are good.

I took it to a shop and all they could see was lost communication with various things like ECU, power windows, traction control, the codes are C1201,U0100,U0155

You may have add some codes with battery disconnection.

I'm not sure about that. You should drive until you get the CEL and read the codes again.
