Looks like I managed to brick my ECU... I guess I won't be getting the car install complete this weekend.

I had the same problem with my BRZ. I adjusted my piping four or five times and never could make it fit right. Still makes contact enough to pop the bumper out of the clip on drivers side.

You didn't brick it. Probably burned your license like the first time i tried to program ecutech. Just get the tuner to send you another license monday.

If your bumper is popping out, it's usually because the clip was damaged during the initial bumper removal.

There should be *zero* contact between a charge pipe and the bumper if everything is positioned per the instructions.

Can someone clarify how the EcuTek licensing works?

I got the JRSC kit with EcuTek and CARB tune, used the provided license to flash the tune. Now, if I want to flash another tune (Delicious F&G, for example), do I need to buy another EcuTek license? If later I will need to flash a new version of that second tune, or will try to flash the CARB tune back, will it be possible to do with the same license, or will I need to buy another one once again?

Thanks.

Once you have a license it's in the car, you can find from anybody since you program it in yourself if it's an etune.

OK, so it's a license per car, not per flash. I was just confused by the message when I flashed the CARB tune - on completion it said something like "0 licenses left". So, it meant I could not flash another car. But still can flash mine as many times as I want. Excellent!
Thank you!

If you push on the fog light from the front and it doesn't move back then pull the bumper and the driver side headlight. That pipe going into the intercooler is the issue. Its too low and pushing on the fog light housing. I just had the same issue and just fixed it. I also grinded off the back corner part of the bumper brace where it was close to the pipe at a 90. Now it's parallel to the pipe with extra padding in between. I also had to rotate the pipe coming out of the SC (with the JRSC) sticker clockwise... shift the sticker towards the air filter. That'll keep it from touching the bumper brace behind the headlight.

The bumper isn't even bolted down and it's fitting fine now.

Thank you!
To clarify, you can assign multiple licenses to that dongle, so if your friend with a FRS wanted to get a EcuTek license, then he could use your dongle and cable to flash a tune onto his car.

Once his ECU has a license, your dongle, or any master tuner dongle, can flash his car; the license is permanently attached to that ECU.

Ok I got my ECU prgrammed Moto-Mike had to send me a new license and I tried again. Looks like to issue was the battery.

On to the next problem. The car is stalling when you let off the gas. I assume this is the MAF. Any other suggestions?

I will have to try your adjustments, hopefully it will pan out well. Looks like we both just got this kit up and running around the same time and bought from the same place. The boost is very addicting, already driven 150 miles during my break in.

You're in California; why did you decide to not get the CARB kit, even if it's only for the sticker?
