Hey that's exactly how I feel about you. The BRZ is "slower" than just about every car I've owned but I don't bring that up because that's missing the point and being stupid. I supercharged mine anyway. No worries now at all.

Get off it his case, he said nothing wrong.

I love my brz and everything about it, but for the money, there are tons of "better bang for the buck" cars (stock at purchase).

Stop being a prick.

Why does every 201x F-rs/Brz thread turn into a "not enough power" thread?

I'd like to see this list...

Not many better "bangs for the buck" in the under 30K rwd market... Miata, Mustang EB might come close, but one's a roadster, and the other a midweight musclecar.

It doesn't even have to be in the same class. If you have a buyer who isn't exactly enthusiast, they will most likely go for whatever exterior/interior they like and whichever one is faster.

Stop being so pretentious with this car, not everyone worships it. And let me reiterate, there is no other car under $45k that I would want more than my brz (which isn't even FI).

They're regularly compared against the fiesta and focus.
Not that I think they're directly comparable, but a lot of other people do.

Or the number one reason non enthusiasts seem to buy any car. They like the colour.
It is actually a very small minority of people that buy cars because they are faster then others.

Of course there are better cars in the "bang for the buck" department. The twins are a small specialized sports car. My forester can do 1000 things better than the brz. What's the point of pointing that out? 3 years of the same old argument gets old.

You're the one giving him shit and fueling the argument. All he said was that his much cheaper, 10+'year old car was faster.

Your statement is so hypocritical.

The twins have been shown to be nearly as fast in the quarter when not hampered by economy tires.
And Mazda is known for pumping up their press cars. Remember when the RX8 first came out? The press cars were running half a second faster in the quarter mile than what any owner could get in real life.

Then the dynos of customers' RX8s showed that they were nowhere close to the 250 hp then 247hp then 242hp they were rated at in the first year. I think Mazda finally got wise and released a more accurate 232 bhp number...
