Question regarding even gears on BRZ

Hello,
Right now i am rebuilding Subaru brz and i have strange problem.

For some reason, i can't push gear leaver inside even gears (2,4,6). Does any one have idea why it can be like that ? Does ECU or other computer can't block it due to other errors on car ( SRS, ABS, engine) ?

Since car is on support, with running engine i did test 1,3,and R gears, works without any problem/noise. Car did have accident, but engine and gearbox should not be effected by that.

Any one have experience with this ? And does anyone have idea how to know where the problem is without taking gearbox out and how to fix that ? Any answer will be useful,

Sounds like something is just stuck inside the transmission, like one of the forks or something. Are you letting the car get fully warmed up? How long did it sit? Did it have fluids in it when it sat? Have you tried changing the transmission fluid?

I don't want to run engine more than one minute, even it does have coolant/oil levels right. I know that second gear is hard to put in when it's cold, and it does need to get up to temp for good shifting, but this one looks like problem is elsewhere. I should be able at least to put into gear. It feels like it something that blocks gear. From below i try to lookup some damages, but car underside is mint and shiftim mechanizm does not feel like damaged

I don't have tools for taking gearbox with no ramp/lift

Can you answer the other questions?
How long did it sit?
Does it have transmission fluid in it?
Have you changed the transmission fluid?
Why won't you let the car warm up? If it's just even gears than it is more than likely that shift fork that is stuck.. either a piece of metal is keeping it from moving, or another debris of some kind. Letting it warm up is your best bet to getting it moving again and shouldn't hurt anything.

I don't know how long it sit on USA side, but 2-4 mouths i think. Car is in closed garage below building, if i run engine too long, it can trip fire alarm, and car can't move, since right side suspension parts are missing.

I just don't see how manual gearbox could be preventing to go into gear just because of bad oil, or even if where is none. I did try to check if where is something jammed, it is a bit hard to put hand where all leavers are, but as much as i can feel by hand, nothing out of the ordinary. well, i guess i have to pull gearbox with no tools, that will be fun

I would not pull the gearbox and wait until you can get it somewhere to get it moving in 1st gear. You won't be able to feel anything with your hand. The issue would be on the inside of the gearbox. I would bet that once you get things moving and warmed up you would be able to shift again.

If you are impatient and want to test something. Change the transmission fluid and see if there is any metal pieces that come out.

It's absolutely possible that one or more forks on the inside are just stuck. It could be as simple as fluid being gummy from sitting. Or a bit of rust from condensation or something on the inside of the gearbox. All of which would get fixed by driving the car and warming things up.

Well, when i was pooling gear box out, find bend gearbox rubber support, in quite bad shape, so i need one. Now i can shift into every gear with no problems
