Part#s?
Hey guys
I've been following this post for awhile and have finally decided to take the plunge. For the longest time I have been using my phone to control my base stereo, but recently I got fined $130 for "touching my phone"/distracted driving while stopped at a red light. A few questions: 1. I want to get the base unit with NAV, so this is what I need correct? Base Unit: P/N#: PT546-00140 = $767.20 Nav Module: P/N#: PT296-47121 = $1011.82 GPS Antenna: $18 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/320819856679...84.m1439.l2649) Brackets: P/N#: BKTOYK996 - $37.95 (http://bestkits.com/product.php?p=1136) Seems like I've missed boat on the price, as $1800 seems pretty steep. 2. Does anybody know what this is? http://www.supertoyotaparts.com/oe-toyota/pt29600142 I'm a bit annoyed that this 6.1" touchscreen unit was supposed to come on my 10 Series, but naturally the Canadians get shafted and i just got a base head unit instead. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Even more appreciated would be if somebody has some spare parts lying around they could sell me, as I'm not going to buy it for $1700 right now. |

Hey guys so I just purchased the 2014 premium bespoke headunit with aha. I have it all installed, I'm just having two main issues and was hoping someone might have run into the same issues. I have read the whole thread and didn't see much in regards to fixing the issues.
So the first issue is my radio is not working at all, I can search all the radio stations, but everything is static? I have the antenna plugged into the extension box and not the actual head unit. Tomorrow I'm going to pull the unit back out and make sure it's connected fully. The second issue is with text messaging, the unit works perfectly for hands free calling and phone book updating through Bluetooth but my messaging app says that messaging isn't available? I saw on page 6 someone mentioned this issue and someone suggested to enable sharing through Bluetooth settings? I can't find that option for some reason. It should be noted that I have an iPhone 5s. The only other issues I have at the moment are my gps thinks I'm in Kentucky, I live in Baltimore MD, but I have a feeling that will fix it self when I start to drive around. Also voice commands for music when I try to find an artist it says media device is not supported for this command? I'm regards to aha, I only tried to connect twice to aha but both times it wouldn't go through, this doesn't bother me so much because I felt like it was a gimmick anyway. Any help would be greatly appreciated on the two main issues and thanks for the awesome thread. Also just as a side note for anyone Interested In buying this headunit please for the love of god don't pay 1200 dollars like I've seen a bunch of people reporting in this thread. I found a brand new unit with gps and aha included for 650 off eBay. Sent this through my iphone so sorry for any bad spelling or grammar. |

On your iPhone, go to Settings. go to Bluetooth look for your car's head unit in the list (mine says "Car Multimedia") Tap the Info icon (the circled "i") on the right. On the next screen, switch the "Show Notifications" setting to the on/green setting. That's what worked for me with my 5S and this head unit. Quote:
1) If you've not done so, go online to www.AhaRadio.com and create an Aha account. 1a) There will be some stations already set. You can search and add others, delete some (except for the Scion music channel, maybe some others), re-order the list, etc. 2) If you've not done so, download and install the Aha app onto your iPhone and sign into your Aha account. 3) When you are in your car, launch the Aha app on your iPhone. 4) Then from the head unit, pick Aha radio. 4a) On your phone, you may need to tell the phone it's OK to connect to the Aha from your head unit. From there you can use your head unit to pick one of your Aha stations to listen to, certain podcasts are available, there is weather, other helpful features, though they don't alway work real well. When properly set up, it will recite tweets to you from your Twitter feed, and supposedly does similar with Facebook but I've not tried hard to make that work. I like the idea of Aha but its execution falls a bit short. |

Hey thanks for the reply, I did what you said and the text messaging feature now seems to be working, however it wasn't showing any of my current text messages in my phone. I haven't had a chance to play around with aha yet but I will give what you said a try later when I have more time.
Today was the first time I drove the car since the install, the GPS kicked right in and no longer thinks I am in Kentucky. Overall I'm really happy with the headunit, the only thing I need to figure out now is why my AM FM radio isn't coming through and I will be all set. Thanks again for the help. |

I'm going to look into this for sure. So sick of my head unit taunting me with options that I can't use.

Bringing old post to life :P
I really want a GPS on my '15 FR-S. From factory I've got the same headunit. Can I take any GPS module from '14 up toyota cars with GPS antenna and wiring kit to fit this into my FR-S?

Kind of a cool bug lol
On a '15 FR-S radio if you got the Entune module, on startup it will show the Scion logo and the Toyota logo after :P

I bought a Prius C head unit that came with the Entune Nav Module. It came with Entune 3.2.0 installed. I installed the it last night but am having issues. Pandora, Bing and Weather give me an error that they can not connect to the Internet but Traffic, Gas Prices, IHeartRadio and Traffic work fine. Slacker is missing. My Entune account was setup using the Vin of the Prius that the headunit came from and I tried using a Vin to a Tundra from craigslist and it made no difference. I guess I'll try connecting the Prius C headunit with the Nav and see if it has the same issues. I know if you have XM connected, weather and traffic are supposed to be updated quicker using that service but that does not explain Bing not working.
Does anyone know what the latest Entune version is? Anyone know where to download it? The one on the Tundura forum was taken down. I'll try to the sales man I bought my car from, maybe he can get a copy from service. Edit: Frik'n weird. My Windows Phone 640XL works. Everything but Weather works and that is without an Entune app. I do have to setup the Bluetooth profile for DUN. Pandora is still flakey, I have to first connect the phone to usb and start Pandora and then unplug it and it is then quit happy going through bluetooth. As for my Note2, I think its too old, it drops signal and has to rebuffer with IHeartRadio. Maybe I will look into a new Andorid phone but I for now I will stick with my Windows. I got burnt out on Android. Atleast I know it is not issue with the Nav Unit. Last edited by gedster314; 08-18-2015 at 08:08 PM. |

If you are using the Toyota Entune module you may have noticed that Bing search no longer work. Toyota disable it. The new version have a new software that do the same job and it's called "Destination search".
To get this, you need to update the app & the radio software. Download link from Toyota: https://securedp.toyota.com/download...oyotaHeadUnits APK (Android) application download (or you could go to google play if your phone is officialy supported): http://www.apk20.com/apk/248517/ I did not try it on my FR-S but I will tonight, I'll keep you updated.
