I have been driving my N/A Toyota 86 around for a month now(@ the Reef – JHB) with the following Mods:

K&N Drop In Filter +
Borla UEL (58mm) Header +
PLM (63mm) Overpipe +
BRZ DeGraaf(63mm) Straight pipe and Catback.

Enjoying the N/A life for now …

I recently drove it down to Durban(Coast) + Torco (Octane Booster)
(The car was extremely responsive) and ...
When I was back in JHB (At the Reef) it felt like I was driving an old-age home delivery bus.

I left my car with Marco from Phoenix Performance this weekend
(Located in JHB)

(When I look back - I am glad I drove my car around JHB (Reef) for a month without a tune, because now I feel the significant change and know what I paid for!)

OH MY F#CK!

He managed to load on Revision 3 of their developed/developing 95Ron map.

From the Get Go,…. it feels as responsive(@ the reef) as it felt in Dbn(@ the coast)

I can confidentially say I gave a 07 Black wrx STi a run for its money last night,

- Wish I had my GoPro on lol, but a fellow 86 driver was with me as a passenger.

INSANE response from a 2.0 N/A Vs a 2.5 Turbo at the Reef.

In addition, Marco also sorted out my Cold Start issue
(Which was too loud and used to wake up communities)
The car warms up much quicker, and doesn’t wake up grumpy boring people anymore.

I cannot believe how responsive the car is at the Reef with 95Ron fuel,
very very impressive!

Will try my best to get it Dyno’d soon at FR&R to get results on the torque dip elimination,

Extremely satisfied with the work done and service delivery from Phoenix Performance!
Thank You!

Raced from the Caltex on Main Road (Bryanston) with a slight downward negative gradient road, using launch control and flat foot shifting (which bring the rev back to 5000rpm on the next gear) allows you to be within the power bands of the car , I kept up with him only on 4th gear did he start drifting away. I was never in front ... We turned around and raced back up , he punished me on a slight positive gradient (up hill) ... Thumbs up at the end of the road ... For you maneer is a joke ... For the STI and myself was huge smiles on our faces

Was he aware you were there?

Either way, glad you're happy with the mods.

Great that you're enjoying your car.
It sounds really good, and seems to go well too.

But you're not going to scare an STi, be it a 10 year old STi or a new one.
I battle to take out stock STi's on track with my supercharged 86, and I don't have anything on them with power. I nail them in the twisties.

Actually, I reckon if I put my SC 86 in a drag race against my 12 year old Forester XT, the 86 would come second...

Lol, agreed - I don't expect to get close to an STI or similar turbo car at the reef,

was just fun trying to keep up,

I think he was playing with you. A 2007 sti dismisses 0 to 100 in 5.5 seconds. A turbo looses 5 to 7% power at altitude. A n/a on the other hand 25%.
