Congrats on finishing the build! Are your long term plans to keep or sell the car?

Late post from a previous install, but the bolt and collar that connects the rear suspension assembly from the BRZ tS was put in. The collar is slid into the original to eliminate any gap that was potentially there before and the bolt is longer to increase the rigidity of the connection.

Stock metal collar

The collar from the tS fits on top

Slid into place

Comparison between the stock bolt (right) and the one from the BRZ tS (left)

Rare look under the car

So that tS collar, is that pretty much like the Whiteline rear sub-frame bushings? So I'd have to go with one or the other? Much rather go with the tS part of course...

Haven't looked into the subframe bushings but it should be a different joint. STi has their own subframe bushings as well. The collar and bolt location can be seen in the schematic

A very talented member of EightOne81 (www.eightyone81.com) created a miniature version of my car. This involved custom made parts as well as decals. Not all the details made it in due to time and overall difficulty of the item but overall it looks amazing and I couldn't be more pleased. Now I'm looking into one for my WRX and one of my former GTI!

That model car is scary realistic! I used to build them as a kid and the level of detail is insane.

Hi,

Question about your spacers... hate to admit it, but I'm a copy cat who recently imported some 18" STi wheels for my WRB BRZ too (see photo). I love the look, but the gap due to the offset could use some work. You said you're running 5mm on the rears? Correct? I'm hesitant to go up to 20mm, feeling better with 10mm. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your help and for the awesomely inspirational build!

I'm only using a 5mm for the rears because the rear fenders give the illusion that they're flaring out more (or maybe they are I'm not sure). I mean, how far you want the wheels to move out is more of a personal aesthetic choice if anything. I like it tucked in as opposed to flush or poking out.

Since I was under the car and I didn't take pictures last time, here's the draw stiffener. I absolutely love this addition to the car, as it changed the dynamic of how it now drives. The steering wheel actually feels it has more heft, turning is more deliberate, but everything feels pinpoint accurate. Where the car use to have minor shudders here and there when cornering hard, now it turns in one smooth sweeping motion. The only thing I could see as a downside to some people is the car feels perfectly balanced as opposed to some slight oversteer. To me, it feels incredible and it now has me staring at my WRX just going shit I need to upgrade the suspension on this thing.
