It's weird. Looks like melted plastic where the headlight is. I don't even have hids. I'll see if I can snap a pic later

Very common in SoCal especially with all of our cars sitting in the sun for the majority of the day, almost every single aftermarket lighting piece will do this. I used to work for Spec-D Tuning (JunYang probably the worst of all) and knew people from Winjet,Depo,Spyder,Anzo etc that had the same issues, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't but I had constant calls about issues with our projector headlights, LED tail lights side markers, whatever either condensation, sun fade, wiring incorrect from the factory etc, but honestly you get what you pay for there is a reason why OEM lighting is very expensive.

mine is 10 series so I actually running stock HID ballast with aftermarket 8000k bulb. I don't have any burning issue so far of a year of use.

we sometimes get calls about melted projector lens but most of them were with HID or higher wattage bulbs. I would like to see yours and find out what causes the burn
