Edit: Quickly looking up salaries for sanitation engineer, looks like I have a backup job should I get tired of doing IT work. |

Showed up this morning at work to find out that one of my fellow employees passed way suddenly last evening from what appears to have been a massive heart event. He was found by his wife in his home shop about midnight last night.
He was 52, and a skilled competitive local triathlete, and looked it. He left behind a wife and 4 children 16 to 8 in age. To top it off, yesterday was the 8 year olds birthday. His Father apparently passed away at a similar age, but was not in nearly as good of shape. Genetics can be a bitch! I think I'll go home and hug my wife and adult kids one more time..just in case.

So everyday when I get home, I have to pull out the old Corolla from the driveway, put the FRS inside, then park the Corolla behind it. Why? Peace of mind from hooligan kids with no life.
Anyways, I'm in the habit of pushing the seat back, left hand on rubber door sill, swing right foot out, then do a little half roll out of the cockpit in the FRS. Out of muscle memory, I did the same method when getting out of the Corolla and fell down face first. -___-" Didn't realize what happened until I got back up. |

Truly. A couple of years ago, I attended an autopsy of a man, single, about 55 years old. He was in the best physical shape of anyone that I have ever seen in person. Lowest BMI that you could imagine. The big mystery and the reason for the autopsy was that he had died over the weekend in his own bed. No apparent cause of death, no signs of foul play, so what killed him?
As it turns out, his heart was badly enlarged, about twice the size that it should have been. It was obvious the moment that the medical examiner opened the chest cavity. The poor guy had had a massive heart attack, totally out of the blue and unexpected for a man in such excellent condition. As Dadhawk says, genetics (the bitch!) will get you every time. Dadhawk, sorry to hear about your coworker's death. I hope that his family is handling it well and that they are well provided for.

...As long as I can resist splurging on forced induction, and a new header-back exhaust setup that is.
